As you should know, The Open Group is the owner of the Unix trademark and holds the patents for the Motif widget and CDE (Common Desktop Environment) which is distributed in commercial Unix variants.
There's an open letter initiative to fully open source this tools here. Go and sign it. Wouldn't you love to run CDE on Slackware or FreeBSD? I know I would.
