Today Jonathan Schwartz and Rich Green will be announcing the availability of Java source code under the GPL Version 2!!! This means that you'll be able to compile Java in Gentoo or any of the BSD's variants!!!
This will have a tremendous impact on the world of Linux & BSD's. No more license restrictions for Java redistribution. Now it took years, but Sun is moving in the right direction.
